DMF Lighting has unveiled Artafex Linear, its latest solution designed to enhance linear lighting in the custom integration space. Artafex Linear embodies DMF Lighting’s signature modularity while addressing the specific pain points integrators have faced for years with traditional linear solutions.

Unlike the traditional alternative, which often requires complex installation and time-consuming soldering, Artafex Linear offers a streamlined, easy-to-install system with magnetic connectors, removing the need for field cutting and reducing installation time. Superior Warm Dim Matching: Artafex Linear features a Warm Dim option that matches DMF Lighting’s popular Warm Dim downlight color temperature curve, ensuring consistent lighting across various fixtures in a home. It can also be set at 2000K, 2700K and 3000K for those preferring a static color temperature.
Simplified Ordering Process: The Artafex Linear product line was designed with the integrator in mind, providing an ordering process that is both flexible and user-friendly. Whether an integrator is a beginner in lighting or an experienced professional, the ordering system adapts to their level of knowledge and project requirements. The three ways to order include:
- Order by Total Footage: Ideal for projects where quick estimates are needed, integrators can simply input the total linear footage required for the project and choose the preferred mounting type—flat or 45-degree. The system automatically generates a complete bill of materials (BOM), including the appropriate number of fixtures, connectors, drivers, and other essential components.
- Order by Zone: For more complex projects where multiple control zones are required, integrators can specify the length and mounting type for each zone, such as kitchen under-cabinet lighting or living room cove lighting. The system creates a separate BOM for each zone, helping to label and organize components by specific areas within the project, ensuring that the right materials are deployed to the right locations.
- Order by Individual Components: For integrators who prefer to build their own configurations or need specific parts, this option allows them to manually select the exact components required for their projects. This method is ideal for advanced users who want precise control over their inventory.
Artafex Linear Kit for Faster Installations: One of the standout features of the Artafex Linear product line is the Artafex Linear Kit, which simplifies installation and reduces job site complications. Each kit comes packed in a specially designed tray box and includes:
- 10 x 12-inch linear fixtures
- 4 x 2-inch linear sections
- 1 x 1-inch linear section
- A selection of joiners, dead ends, power feeds, and jumpers
