NLB Seeks Submissions for Art & Science of Lighting Awards
Are you a specifier or designer who has found a lighting product that you feel represents a significant advancement in the art/science of lighting? If so, now’s the time to shine a spotlight on it. The National Lighting Bureau (NLB) is extending submissions for this year’s Art and Science of Lighting Awards. Products introductions from 2022 or the beginning of 2023 are eligible in the following categories: luminaires, sources, controls, drivers, and other lighting system accessories. Only lighting designers and specifiers may submit products of OEMs and manufacturers. The submission deadline is April 4.
The Science of Lighting Award — a lighting product that demonstrates exceptional technical innovation, significantly improves how effectively and efficiently high-quality lighting can be specified and installed, or introduces applications to high-quality lighting opportunities.
The Art of Lighting Award — a lighting product that exhibits an innovative lighting configuration that has aesthetic appeal or provides refreshing new forms for more conventional luminaires.
Nomination forms can be found here
Awards will be announced at LightFair May 21-25 in New York City. Award winners are determined by a panel of judges selected for this program.
Reminder: Only lighting specifiers, lighting designers, architects, and consulting engineers can nominate products for these awards (it is possible to nominate a product that fits both the Art and Science of Lighting criteria). Manufacturers cannot nominate products.
