West Caldwell, N.J.-based manufacturer MaxLite opened a distribution center in Greenwood, Indiana. The 100,000-sq.-ft. building, located just outside Indianapolis, doubles the size of its existing facility in Greenwood and will significantly improve delivery times. It also expands the company’s growing distribution network, with additional centers in northern New Jersey and Anaheim, California.

“We’re excited to open our new facility in Indiana,” said Spencer Bolgard, MaxLite’s President & CEO. “Our investment in this state-of-the-art facility expands our distribution network and reflects our commitment to make it easy to do business with us. We’re also pleased to have grown our footprint in the Indianapolis area, which we’ve found to be an ideal location. We have a great team there, and we look forward to continuing to serve our agents, distributors, and customers as well as supporting the local economy.”

In addition, the center will serve as the central hub to store secondary products and solutions from MaxLite’s extensive product portfolio. Located less than two miles from the company’s original facility, it will allow deliveries to customers throughout the continental U.S. in three days or less. Within the Central region, customers can expect delivery in 1 to 2 business days.

In keeping with its focus on green initiatives, MaxLite has outfitted the facility with its energy-efficient linear high bays and innovative c-Max controls. In addition to the energy savings realized from the LED lighting, the control sensors will further reduce energy consumption by only illuminating active areas while maintaining safe lighting levels for warehouse associates.
