January Lightovation to Feature New Collections + Metaverse TrendHouse
The January edition of Lightovation (to be held January 10-14) at the Dallas Market Center (DMC) will feature thousands of product debuts in addition to the premiere of the Metaverse Lighting TrendHouse, numerous trend insights, and epic celebrations.
“This is the most exciting edition of Lightovation in years,” said Cindy Morris, President & CEO of DMC. “We are welcoming important new collections, new and expanding exhibitors, and our most dramatic experiences and installations to support customer business.”
Pre-registration, which is the most efficient method to receive a FastPass for quicker entry, is now available at the Dallas Market Center website.
The Premiere of the Metaverse TrendHouse
Topping the show experience is the world premiere of the Lightovation Metaverse TrendHouse, an immersive activation on the 3rd floor of the Trade Mart created in cooperation with Leslie Carothers of Savour Partnership, rendering artist and residential designer Annilee Waterman, and interior designer and retailer Shay Geyer. This groundbreaking initiative represents a significant leap forward in the realm of residential design and lighting by offering an immersive 3D innovative experience for industry professionals.
The TrendHouse will be able to be viewed by Lightovation attendees in a special exhibition kiosk both as a 3D virtual walkthrough individual experience or via the metaverse space experience, where multiple people can join in and explore together, as avatars, at the same time. Lightovation attendees will have the choice to explore both spaces wearing a virtual reality headset provided by DMC, or without one. Both the virtual walk-through and the metaverse experiences of the TrendHouse will be virtual representations of a fully furnished and curated home, meticulously designed to showcase the latest trends in lighting, home décor, and technology that reflect the 2024 Lightovation Trend Report, curated by global trend forecaster Patti Carpenter and presented by Furniture Lighting & Decor magazine for the show. Coffee will be served in the TrendHouse at 10:00 AM Wednesday through Friday.
