ARISTA Advanced Lighting Control System from Intermatic Simplifies Installation

Intermatic

The new ARISTA® Advanced Lighting Control System from Intermatic takes the hassle out of commercial lighting projects. The contractor-focused solution makes it easy for installers of all technology backgrounds to integrate wireless, code-compliant lighting control in a wide range of indoor applications.

Enhance functionality in commercial spaces with three new solutions for the ARISTA® Advanced Lighting Control
System. Programmable Switches and a Phase Dimming Controller offers occupants hands-on control and
helps installers create a customized indoor lighting experience.

Dynamic Lighting Control with the Push of a Button

New ALC-2B-BT (2-button) and ALC-4B-BT (4-button) Programmable Switches allow occupants to adjust
brightness levels and select lighting scenes with the push of a button. Both switches offer a battery-powered option
and can be mounted anywhere.

Built to Shine in Any Situation

Ensure compatibility and performance with new ALC1-P Phase Dimming Controllers. Designed to work with phase dimming
fixtures, such as sconces and track lighting, the devices provide additional options when customizing ARISTA systems to meet project needs.

Always on Time

Every ARISTA room controller, including the ALC1-P, ALC1-R, ALC2-R, and ALC4-R features an integrated real-time clock (RTC) chip for keeping timing accuracy. This provides a superior level of timing accuracy and ensures schedules stay aligned across devices. In the unlikely event that a sensor or programmable switch fails, communication between the remaining devices makes sure that all time schedules remain in sync.

Implementation

A suite of modular components, including sensors, controllers and manual overrides, makes it easy to install and configure ARISTA to meet diverse project needs. Bluetooth wireless communication and optional battery-powered sensors help speed up installations by reducing wiring needs.

ARISTA implementations can range from a few dozen components to several hundred controllers and sensors operating within a complex environment. This makes the smart system perfect for both retrofit and new construction projects.

Step 1: Plan Your Space  Decide which devices fit your space and application needs best. Start with a Room Controller (ALC1-R), which works as the “brain” for the system.

Step 2: Install and Power Up Devices  Physically install wall- and ceiling-mount sensors and controls. Note that many ARISTA components are battery-powered, which reduces the need for additional wiring and infrastructure.

Step 3: Provision Devices using the ARISTA App  Use the ARISTA smartphone app to add each device to your ARISTA Project via Bluetooth 5.0 mesh network. Wi-Fi is not required for this step, which allows installers to pre-load devices from their workshop or install devices in the field.

Step 4: Configure Settings and Schedules  Once a device is provisioned to your ARISTA Project, you can seamlessly adjust settings (e.g., daylight thresholds, run levels) and create ON/OFF schedules.
