Acuity’s Distech Controls Taps John Sublett to Lead Research and Development

Part of Acuity Brands’ Intelligent Spaces Group, intelligent buildings leader Distech Controls has appointed John Sublett as VP/Research & Development.

“Our mission is to make buildings smarter, safer, and greener by delivering open, market-leading edge to cloud solutions that seek to maximize occupant comfort and minimize operational costs,” says Martin Villeneuve, President of Distech Controls. “John has been a leader in controls and connected buildings for over 25 years and his appointment strategically aligns with our ongoing efforts to lead in the industry by anticipating the evolving needs of our customers.”

Most recently Sublett served as Vice President & Chief Technology Officer/Products & Solutions at Resideo. In addition, he has held roles such as VP/Software Platforms, Engineering & Technology and VP/Technology at Honeywell, as well as Chief Technology Officer at Tridium.
